RemoteKova ("we", "us", "our") runs remotekova.com, a website that helps people living in Australia apply for remote roles offered by employers. This policy sets out what information we collect, what we do with it, who else handles it and how you can have it changed or deleted.

What the application form asks for

The application form on this site asks for your name, age, gender, nationality, email address and WhatsApp number. If you use an iPhone with iMessage, or an Android phone with RCS, you can also add that number.

The WhatsApp step

When you submit the form, WhatsApp opens with a short message already written. Nothing is sent from WhatsApp until you press Send yourself. The details in the form reach us as soon as you submit it, whether or not you go on to send the WhatsApp message.

What we do not ask for

Applicants are not asked for passwords, one-time codes, online banking logins or copies of identity documents, either on this website or over WhatsApp.

How we use your information

We use your details to reply to you, to explain the roles that are open and, with your agreement, to put you forward to an employer. We tell you who the employer is before your details go to them. We do not sell your information and we do not add you to marketing lists.

Services that handle your information

A small number of providers process information for us so the site can work: Waformly (the application form), Cloudflare (website hosting, and forwarding of email sent to our address), WhatsApp, operated by Meta (messages you choose to send us), Google Analytics (visit statistics, see below), Meta (advertising measurement, see below) and Google Fonts (the typefaces on these pages). Each of them handles information under its own privacy terms.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-MQKF4G6S60) to count visits and see which pages are used. It sets cookies and records technical details such as your browser, device type, approximate location and the pages you open. It does not receive your name, phone number or the contents of the form. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Advertising measurement

When we advertise on Facebook or Instagram, this site uses the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta, to measure visits that come from those ads. It records a page view on each page and, when an application form is submitted, a Lead event and a Purchase event (a fixed value of RM1, used only to measure advertising) that contain none of the form answers. The same Lead and Purchase events may also be sent to Meta from our own server (the Meta Conversions API) together with your IP address, browser details and Meta cookie identifiers, so Meta can match it to the ad you clicked. You can change your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

Where information is processed

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep applicant details for up to 12 months after our last contact with you and then delete them, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing careers@remotekova.com. We reply within 30 days. Details already passed to an employer with your agreement are held by that employer under its own privacy policy.

Children

This website is meant for adults looking for work and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
